Bible Studies
Women’s Bible study groups are offered at various time throughout the year. Child care is provided for Wednesday morning and Sunday evening classes, but registration is required. Here is a list of the studies we will be offering this fall:
Breaking Free by Beth Moore
This study leads you through Scriptures to discover the transforming power of freedom in Jesus Christ. Themes for this study come from Isaiah, a book about the captivity of God’s children, the faithfulness of God, and the road to freedom. This in-depth Bible study draws parallels between the captive Israelites of the Old Testament and New Testament believers in Jesus as the Promised Messiah. Beth looks at the Book of Isaiah through the lives of the kings who ruled during the prophet’s ministry. These kings exemplify many of the obstacles to freedom with which we must deal. Using Scripture to help identify spiritual strongholds in your life, no matter how big or small, Beth explains that anything that hinders us from the benefits of knowing God is bondage. (2009 Edition)

- Sundays at 5:00 p.m. (Childcare available) Begins September 9th.
Nehemiah by Kelly Minter
Nehemiah’s heart was so broken for those in need that he left the comfort of his Persian palace to help them. Like Kelly’s other studies in the Living Room Series, you’ll find authentic Bible teaching, recipes, music selections, and a relational approach. This Bible study includes seven video sessions and real-life ways to put feet to your faith.
- Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. (Childcare available) Begins September 5th.
- Mondays at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Susan Byers. (No childcare available). Begins September 10th.
The Life Ready Woman by Shaunti Feldhahn
Whether a stay-at-home mom or an airplane-hopping executive, a student or a senior adult, most women need a contemporary, encouraging vision for what it means to be a godly, biblically guided female in the twenty-first century. A biblical woman takes God’s Word seriously not just at church but also in the everyday walk of life. But can a significant and satisfying twenty-first-century womanhood really be defined from Scripture? In Life Ready Woman, best-selling author Shaunti Feldhahn helps readers take five faith steps drawn from the Bible that will help to define the best life possible. Each one is easy to understand, but requires bold faith to activate. The reward is being ready for the deeper life that God has planned.
- Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. (Childcare available) Begins September 5th.
Quilting Class/Bible Study: Becoming a Woman of Influence by Carol Kent
This is a Bible Study the first half of class that leads into a quilting class that beginners and advanced quilters can enjoy. In this Bible study, the author teaches that God has a need in His church for women who will be there for other women – to encourage their dreams, speak into their lives, and listen to their hearts. In Becoming a Woman of Influence, Carol Kent imparts several principles from the life of Jesus for the making of an effective mentor.
- Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. (Childcare available) Begins September 5th.
James by Beth Moore
In Beth Moore’s newest study, James, see how Jesus’ own brother started out as a skeptic. After one glimpse of the resurrected Savior, an unbeliever becomes a disciple. Come along on a journey to get to know both the man and the Book of James and learn what it looks like to put your faith into action.
- Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. (No childcare available) Begins September 6th.
Brave by Angela Thomas
This Bible study for women looks at the heart of what women are thinking and feeling. Angela speaks to participants about deep feelings that all women have at one time or another. She looks boldly at some of the fears and struggles of being a woman, and she helps us see how we can be brave in the face of those challenges. It takes a brave woman to ask these questions and dig into these topics alongside other believers. We’ve all got insecurities, flaws, and struggles that we’re afraid to address. But if we can be brave enough to raise the questions, God will answer us. You’ve got questions. God’s got answers. Be brave. Ask.
- Sundays at 5:00 p.m. (Childcare available) Begins September 9th.
Military Wives Bible Study Class (TBD)
- Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. (Childcare available) Begins September 5th.
